Why this course?
Mediation is fast developing in many countries and is part of the civil justice system of England and Wales through the Civil Procedure Rules, which encourages the use of mediation.
Kingston's Dispute Resolution PgCert aims to develop and deepen your understanding of the different types of dispute resolution, with a particular focus on mediation and negotiation. Taught through a combination of academic content and role play, the course will be of particular interest if you would like to develop relevant practical skills within the rigours of an academic framework.
The programme consists of an intensive two-week period of teaching in July/August, followed by a 12-week period of research and distance learning.
Who is the programme is also suitable for?
- Students between finishing a degree and moving on to the next stage, which might be employment, further academic study, a Diploma in Law or professional qualifications such as the LPC or BPTC.
- The course will fill the gap between July graduation and September enrolment.
- International students who would like to spend some of the summer within easy access of London.
On completion of this course
You will receive a postgraduate certificate in Dispute Resolution and will be eligible to progress to further studies on Kingston Law School's LLM programme.
